01 / About
Twenty-eight years. Same standard.
02 / The story
Founded Dhaka, 1998
Started by two site engineers who were tired of excuses.
In 1998, Rafiq Karim and Selina Ahmed left a large contractor to run one site properly. The first job was a 600 m² warehouse in Savar. The client got a weekly programme, a daily photo log and a handover with zero defects. He has since given us eleven more jobs.
The company grew the way buildings do: one level at a time. Concrete crews in 2001. A steel yard in 2006. MEP teams in 2011. A fleet of earthmoving plant in 2015. Today we employ 2,400 people directly and sub-let as little as possible.
We still refuse the two things that ruin construction: hidden programmes and change-order games. Every client gets the live schedule. Every price is open-book. Every variation is priced from the same rates as the contract.
It is not a complicated philosophy. It is just rare.
03 / How we work
Four rules.
No exceptions.
-
01
Self-perform
Concrete, steel and MEP by our own crews. Fewer interfaces, fewer surprises, one accountable party.
-
02
Open book
Quantities you can check, rates you can audit and a variation policy written into the contract.
-
03
Engineer on site
A CICL engineer on every job every day, with authority to stop work and to spend money to keep the programme.
-
04
Zero harm
Anyone can stop the job. Nobody is penalised for it. Two million hours without a lost-time incident says it works.
