Purbachal Tower 02 tops out at level 38

At 06:40 on 21 October the last bucket went into the core at level 38, one hundred and fifty-two days after the slip-form started climbing. The baseline programme said 1 November. We were eleven days early, and nobody got hurt getting there.
The cycle
The tower runs on two clocks. The core climbs on a four-day slip-form cycle: strike, climb, fix, pour. The floor plates follow on a six-day cycle using our own aluminium system formwork, two floors behind the core. If either clock slips, the other one waits, so the whole job is really a question of never letting either slip.
For 152 days neither did. The reasons are boring, which is the point:
- Rebar cages for the core walls were pre-fabricated in the Narayanganj yard and delivered as the slip-form reached each level, so nothing was tied in the air.
- Two concrete pumps on site at all times, one on standby, both tested each morning before the first pour.
- A batching plant 1.8 km away that we own, so the mix never queued behind someone else's order.
- Night pours in April and May to keep slab temperatures under control.

What nearly went wrong
Week 14. A pump line blocked at level 19 with 40 m³ already in the truck. The standby pump was set up in 35 minutes and the pour finished at 23:10 instead of 21:00. That is the only reason this post says eleven days and not twelve.
A programme is not a promise about the future. It is a list of the things you have already decided not to leave to chance.
Next
Façade installation is on level 12 and climbing; fit-out starts on the podium in December. Handover is still May 2026. We will publish the next update when the curtain wall closes at level 38.
